Abstract:

Salvia bracteata is a permanent herb belongs to Lamiaceae family which wildely grows in some regions of Lorestan province. The aerial part of this plant was collected in postflowering stage from montains of North of Alashtar in Lorestan province. The air-dried samples were subjected to hydrodistillation using by Cleavenger apparatus for 2.5h ( in yield of 0.8%).The essential oil was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Forty-six constituents representing 91.7% of the oil were identified. The major components of the oil were a- pinene (31.9%), myrcene(8.6%), limonene(8.1%), b-pinene(6.8%).

Abstract:

The aerial parts of Salvia bracteata were collected in two stages of plant growth (before flowering and full flowering) from Chenareh-marivan (Kurdistan province) in west of Iran .The essential oils were obtained by hydro-distillation method. The oils were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The yields of essential oils were 0.22% before flowering stage and 0.28% full flowering stage. Before flowering stage 17 compounds and full flowering stage 19 compounds were characterized. In both of stages, b-caryophyllen and c-muurolene devoted the highest rates of the compounds. b-caryophyllen had a decreasing trend from before flowing to flowering so that it changes from 49.6% to 41.6% vs. c-muurolene so the rate of latter compound changed from 18.3% to 22.8%. In samples from Chenareh, Marivan, 17 constituents were common at two stages. (E)-b-ocimene was only before flowering stage and bornyl-acetate, d-elemene, b- bourbonene were found only at full flowering stage.

Abstract:

The main goal of hydraulic engineers is to design a Water intake to deliver the maximum flow discharge with the minimum sediment entry. The optimum delivery angle, three dimensional flow pattern, sedimentation and sediment entry are the major parameters which must be considered at lateral intakes. According to the available literature, in previous studies the optimum Water intake angle from main channel with slopping Bank and suspended load had not been considered. Therefore, in this study, different sediment and hydraulic experimental tests were carried out at 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees Water intake installed at the Bank of a trapezoidal channel. The effects of stream tube dimensions, secondary current and suspended sediment delivery into the intake were assessed for determining the optimum delivery angle. Finally, by analysis of these parameters, the 30 to 45 degrees angles were suggested to be the optimum delivery angles from a main channel with inclined Bank.

Abstract:

The study of the soil seed Bank in a region provides a more comprehensive perpective of the biodiversity of that region by revealing the composition of plants that are not currently present in the aboveground cover. The paper is conducted to investigate the coverage and the seed Bank in the areas the Riparian of the Gyan river in Nahavand city in Hamadan province. Five sampling sites along the river were determined. At each site, a transect perpendicular to the river flow and along each transect at least 6 plots of 1 square meter (three on each side of the river) are established. The Soil sampling was done from two depths of 0-5 and 5-10 cm at 10 points randomly from each plot. The soil samples are cultivated in the greenhouse the seeds germinate in them and are identified. Then diversity indices, calculated for cover and soil seed Bank in each plot. Each of the above factors are compared in the intervals of 0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 meters from the center of the river by one-way ANOVA. Also, Sorenson's index is used to check the similarity of the species composition of cover and the soil seed Bank of the Riparian area. The results show that the highest diversity related to the soil seed Bank is at a depth of 0-5 cm at a distance of 10-20 meters, which is due to the dominant of Cyperus difformis annual plants at this depth. The percentage of similarity of surface-ground cover in the areas of Riparian and seed Bank of the first depth and the second depth (7-20) percent, which was very low due to the washing of seeds by the river currents and the movement of seeds by grazing. This study showed that recovery of the vegetation of the river riparian is possible via the soil seed Bank.

Abstract:

Water delivery performance of irrigation and drainage networks in Iran is not in the acceptable situation. Evaluation of irrigation and drainage systems is important to increase their performance and decrease their related problems. In the present study, some performance indicators were assessed and evaluated at the end of left Bank canal in Doroodzan irrigation network. Performance indicators such as adequacy, efficiency, equity, dependability, and delivery performance ratio were used for the evaluation. Results showed that the equity and dependability indicator values were about 0. 42 and 0. 31, respectively, which categorized in the poor class. The adequacy and efficiency indicator values were 0. 87 and 0. 75, respectively, which categorized in the fair class. About half of the studied canals had a good Water delivery adequacy and efficiency, while the others had fair or poor delivery performances. The average value of delivery performance ratio for the studied canals was 1. 27, which showed that 27% of delivered Water was excess. Delivered Water in 8 canals out of 16 canals were more than intended, while in 5 canals were lower than the intended values. The 3 rest canals received intended Water.
